  • Patient not adherent with DMT

Measure Calculation Example

Dr. Wood had 100 patients with MS between January 1 and December 31. Five patients started a new DMT on the date of the encounter. The denominator is 95 (100-5).

Of the 95 patients, 30 were screened for DMT side effects and compliance with their DMT treatment. This is the numerator. Additionally, five patients declined a discussion on the date of the encounter. These five patients are removed from the denominator.

Quality of care = 30/(100-5-5). Dr. Wood has a score of 33% for this measure.
