This month, AED legislation supported by the AAN and the Epilepsy Foundation of Tennessee was signed into law by Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen. House Bill 121 will require pharmacists to provide prior notification to physicians and patients of an AED switch from one manufacturer to another. This legislation will help ensure that physicians maintain their essential role in shaping the care their patients with epilepsy receive.
