There's still time to submit a video to the Neuro Film Festival and enter to win up to $1,500 in prizes. The AAN Foundation event is designed to raise awareness about brain disorders and the need to support research into preventions, treatments, and cures. The deadline to enter is February 16, 2010. In addition to promoting the film festival to patients and their families, AAN members also can submit a film.
The Neuro Film Festival selection jury will choose two winners to attend a screening of their videos at the Annual Meeting's Celebration for Research on Sunday, April 11. The winners will receive either the $500 Storyteller Prize or the $1,000 Filmmaker Prize for films exhibiting more technical expertise. Their entries also will appear with several others on the Neuro Film Festival YouTube channel and will be eligible for the Fan Favorite contest voted on by the public. The winning Fan Favorite video will receive a $500 prize.
Each short film must include the phrase "Let's put our brains together to support brain research" to be eligible. Review contest rules and watch a video explaining how to enter.
