The deadline to register for the AAN's 2010 RITE (also known as the Residency In-service Training Examination) is December 31, 2009. The test will be given between February 25 and 28, as determined by neurology residency program test sites in your area. Note that on-site registration will not be available.
The RITE gauges knowledge of neurology and neuroscience and identifies areas for potential growth, and gives examinees an opportunity to discuss both with their program directors. The fee to sit for the examination is $150 for AAN resident members, a more than 50-percent discount from the nonmember fee of $310. To take advantage of this reduced rate, residents must submit their membership application and dues for the 2010 membership year to the AAN on or before December 31, 2009.
The deadline to cancel registration for the examination is January 20, 2010. A letter of cancellation must be received by mail or email on or before this date. A $50 cancellation fee per examinee will be charged. No refunds will be issued after January 20, 2010.
