Choosing an EHR System for your practice can be a time consuming and an over-whelming task. A good place to start is the list of CCHIT-certified EHR systems.

The CCHIT (Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology) is an independent, nonprofit organization that was awarded a contract by the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) in October 2005, to develop, create prototypes for, and evaluate the certification criteria and inspection process for electronic health records (EHRs). The mission of CCHIT is to accelerate the adoption of robust, interoperable health care information technology throughout the United States by creating an efficient, credible, and sustainable mechanism for the certification of healthcare IT products.
