If you are not coding correctly, you may be shortchanging your practice. The Academy will help you receive what you deserve will present an Evaluation and Management audio conference on Wednesday, November 12, at 2:00 p.m. central time. The registration deadline is Friday, November 7.

Led by Peter D. Donofrio, MD, FAAN, the audio conference will cover appropriate coding for patient visits and how the Academy's new E/M templates can assist members. Participants can earn 1 hour of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ of CME. The single price of $149 covers all of your fellow neurologists, clinicians, and office staff. Non-neurologists will receive a certificate of completion to secure credits from their governing bodies.

"Many neurologists are uncomfortable with the process of coding," said Donofrio, Chair of the Coding Subcommittee. "This audio conference will review the proper coding in common circumstances and help participants learn how to use these templates for both new and established/consult patients at levels 3, 4, and 5. The templates should help neurologists to code with greater precision and to code for their exacting work completed in performing the history, examination, and medical decision-making."
