Legislation prohibiting pharmacists from substituting any anti-epileptic drug for the prescribed anti-epileptic drug without notification and informed consent of the prescriber and patient has been "held for consideration" in a New York Assembly Higher Education Committee. This comes after a vote was scheduled to take place on Tuesday, June 3.

New York residents are encouraged to email their local representatives, as well as Higher Education Chairwoman Deborah Glick (glickd@assembly.state.ny.us), and ask them to pass A9303. Talking points can be found on the AED Issues page.
