About the Editor-in-Chief

Robin L. Brey, MD, FAAN, is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Neurology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA). She is the Associate Dean for Research at the UTHSCSA School of Medicine and the Deputy Director of the Institute for Integration of Medicine and Science. Dr. Brey is the Chairperson for the National Institutes of Health/National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke study section reviewing career development awards. She also serves on the Executive Committee of the Scientific Advisory Committee for the Lupus Foundation of America (LFA) and the LFA executive committee to study Lupus flares. Formerly a member of the American Academy of Neurology Board of Directors and founding section editor for the Patient Page in the scientific journal Neurology, Dr. Brey currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of Neurology Now.
