The American Academy of Neurology, Food and Drug Administration, American Epilepsy Society, and National Academy of Neuropsychology are co-sponsoring a special two-day workshop on June 2 and 3, 2011, in Silver Spring, MD, to investigate non-invasive devices for detecting seizures, evaluating thinking skills, and assessing traumatic brain injury/sports concussion. Led by AAN member neurologists who are experts in their fields, the workshop will offer attendees an opportunity to enhance their knowledge and awareness of regulatory requirements and issues, determine how clinical studies should be conducted and how results should be conveyed to achieve greatest safety and effectiveness. They will also participate in breakout group discussions related to various approaches to use and how to incorporate this information into clinical practice. On the second half-day of the workshop, breakout group moderators will present a summary of the discussions from the previous day and their assessment of any unaddressed areas.
Registration is $130 per person, and both neurology professionals and the public are encouraged to attend. Space is limited to 350 registrants, and registration closes May 15, so register today to reserve your place.
