Applications to sit for the UCNS Autonomic Disorders certification examination will be available on the UCNS website in March 2011. This computer-based examination, which is scheduled for four hours and consists of 200 multiple choice questions, will be offered at Pearson VUE testing centers during the week of November 28 – December 2, 2011. The deadline for submitting applications for this examination is June 15, 2011.
The American Academy of Neurology's Autonomic Disorders Section and the American Autonomic Society are the sponsoring organizations of the Autonomic Disorders subspecialty, which is a member subspecialty of the UCNS. The mission of UCNS, a nonprofit organization, is to help subspecialties grow and enhance their credibility. A strong turnout demonstrates the strength of your subspecialty.
The accreditation application deadlines are as follows: June 1, for fall review, and December 1, for spring review. The Program Information Form (PIF) and Appendices may be downloaded from www.ucns.org, completed off-line, and then emailed to UCNS at firstname.lastname@example.org.
