The deadline is Friday, June 4, to register for the audio conference on the AAN's new guideline "Evaluation and Management of Driving Risk in Dementia."
The one-hour conference is designed to help you apply AAN guidelines to your practice. Lead guideline author Donald J. Iverson, MD, FAAN, will discuss the key findings, and evidence-based medicine expert Gary S. Gronseth, MD, FAAN, will provide an overview of the guideline development process. Participants will have the opportunity to ask the presenters questions near the end of the call.
The guideline, published in the April 20, 2010, edition of Neurology®, suggests that physicians should consider multiple information sources to evaluate driving safety, including observers' reports of declining driving skill and driving tests.
The audio conference will be presented Wednesday, June 9, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. ET. AAN members may register at a special discounted rate of $25, a savings of $74 from nonmember pricing. Residents, fellows, and students may register for free. Conference materials will be provided upon registration. Conference attendees will earn one hour of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.
