The Wall Street Journal included an AAN supplement for patients and caregivers in its November 6, 2009, eastern edition. The newspaper reaches over 700,000 subscribers.
The supplement, entitled "Brain Health," features a foreword from President Robert C. Griggs, MD, FAAN, who explains the mission of the AAN and the AAN Foundation. He also puts out a call for the public to get involved in supporting clinical research training fellowships for the prevention, treatment, and possible cure of neurologic disorders.
Additionally, the publication features education stories about some of the more prevalent neurologic disorders. Copies of the supplement will be distributed at the 2009 Fall Conference and the 2010 Annual Meeting.
