AAN.com Launches Enhanced Web Features

September 24, 2008

AAN.com now offers new features and special tools that make the website even more useful for members. You can have articles sent to you, search for older articles in the AAN article Archives, comment on a story that interests you, or email a story to friends and colleagues. Read more below about the new tools and old AAN.com standbys featured on the site.

Subscribe Using RSS, Email or Print Articles, or Leave a Comment

All articles on AAN.com now offer RSS feed subscription capability. RSS ("Really Simple Syndication") provides an easy way to "subscribe" to articles found on the site: if you want to keep up with the latest news and information provided on AAN.com, subscribe to our RSS feed and never miss an article or update. Find out more about using RSS.

AAN.com also features an Archive Search, which lets you search hundreds of news stories; just type an author, title, or keyword in the field shown on the Archives page and view the search results. In addition, the bottom of every newsstand story now presents options to "email to a friend" or "print" the news article.

If you read an article and want to comment on it, you can now add your voice to the conversation started with every article on AAN.com. Simply go to the bottom of the full article, log in as an AAN member, and submit your comment in the field provided. This is an expanded version of the Members Speak Out feature launched in spring: read more information about commenting on AAN.com.

  • AAN Blogs presents in-depth articles, opinions, and news bulletins written by and for AAN members; this feature allows AAN members to start dialogues and conversations with their colleagues about important issues and medical research of the day.
  • Updates in the world of neurology and science appear in the Science News area.
  • Dendrite®: Recent Jobs provides the latest openings for neurology-related openings across the country, courtesy of the AAN's Dendrite service.
  • The Recent Practice Guidelines area displays an at-a-glance catalog of recent AAN guidelines.
