Free Compensation and Cost Reports Available to Survey Participants

Have you ever wondered how your practice’s compensation compares to other practices?

Are you starting a practice and need information on operating costs?

You could get answers to these crucial questions and more-for free-by participating in two benchmark surveys conducted by the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA). The AAN is partnering with MGMA to urge neurologists and practice managers to participate in the surveys on salaries and management costs. Participants will receive complimentary copies of the results of the surveys they complete, valued up to $1,190 if both questionnaires are submitted.

This is a unique opportunity for members to receive free survey results on important management topics that can help guide their practices. The assessments will provide neurology-specific information on physician and management compensation, as well as the cost of running a neurology practice.

Survey Deadline: June 22, 2007

  • Cost Survey: 2007 Survey Based on 2006 Data ($480 value)

    • The Cost Survey measures specific specialties and observes individual, nonacademic medical practices. The Cost Survey Report measures data on organizational expenses, revenue and operational and output indicators and is broken out in two report versions: Single-Specialty and Multi-Specialty. This report will be sent to participants in November 2007.

Participants will be directed to the secure MGMA site where they can quickly register to complete the survey(s); registration information is required in order to receive the complimentary results.

Directions

  1. Scroll down to the section "I am a new user and would like to register."
  2. Type your email address where notification of the survey results may be sent to you when the surveys are completed.
  3. Type your first name.
  4. Type your last name.
  5. Create a password and type it in. Save this password; you will need it if you need to reenter the survey site.
  6. Confirm your password by re-typing it.
  7. Select the "Register" button.

You should now see a page saying "Registration Complete." Click on "Continue to your MGMA home page" to access the appropriate survey:

Once you begin to fill out a survey, you can save your work and return later by selecting the button at the bottom of the page. There is also a FAQ you may access at the bottom of the page for more information.
