Clinical Research Training Fellowships

Supported by the American Academy of Neurology and the American Brain Foundation

Two-year mentored awards of up to $130,000 in salary and tuition stipends, designed for relatively new investigators in the early-to-mid stages of their training in clinical research methodology:

  • American Brain Foundation Clinical Research Training Fellowship (topic determined by applicant)
  • Susan S. Spencer Clinical Research Training Fellowship in Epilepsy
  • Clinical Research Training Fellowship in Juvenile Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis
  • Clinical Research Training Fellowships in Neurotoxins

Clinician-Scientist Development Awards

Three–year awards of up to $240,000 in salary and tuition stipends to support clinical research leading to discovery of new therapies in specific disease areas:

  • Richard Olney, MD, Clinician-Scientist Development Award in ALS
  • Clinician-Scientist Development Award in MS (note: early deadline of August 15, 2012)

Practice Research Training Fellowship

A two–year award of up to $130,000 in salary and tuition stipends to support training in clinical practice research intended to create unique training opportunities previously difficult to access for neurologists.
